Flourishing Journal publishes empirical research articles in the field of psychology and behavioral sciences, addressing various issues across individual and social contexts. About the Journal's Name

The name “Flourishing Journal” reflects the journal’s commitment to advancing psychological knowledge that contributes to human flourishing. Psychology, across its diverse branches—social, developmental, clinical, industrial and organizational, and educational—seeks to understand the many factors that shape human well-being, growth, relationships, and functioning.

Through this interdisciplinary perspective, Flourishing Journal aspires to become a source of psychological literacy that supports individuals and communities in developing healthier, more meaningful, and more productive lives.

Journal History

Flourishing Journal was established in 2021 and was initially published monthly (twelve issues per year). Since its inception, the journal has aimed to provide a scholarly platform for disseminating research across various areas of psychology, including social, developmental, clinical, industrial and organizational, and educational psychology.

The journal is led by Dr. Nur Eva, M.Psi., who serves as the Editor-in-Chief and oversees its academic and editorial development.

In 2024, Flourishing Journal achieved national recognition by obtaining SINTA 4 accreditation under the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.

Starting in 2026, the journal adjusted its publication frequency to three issues per year to support a more focused and rigorous editorial process. In the same year, Flourishing Journal began using the Digital Commons platform to enhance its editorial management and publication system.

Abstracting and Indexing

Flourishing Journal (FJ) is indexed and/or listed in the following services: Dimensions, ROAD (Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources), GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital), and Google Scholar.

In addition, the journal’s metadata and article DOIs are registered with Crossref, enabling citation linking, reference management, and wider dissemination across scholarly communication systems. These services enhance the visibility, accessibility, and traceability of published articles, although some do not function as traditional abstracting and indexing databases.

Publication Schedule

Flourishing Journal was established in 2021 and was published monthly until 2025. Since 2026, the journal has been published quarterly (March, June, September, and December).

The journal publishes articles in Bahasa Indonesia, with abstracts in both Indonesian and English.

To ensure the long-term accessibility of published content, the articles are archived in CLOCKSS, which provides secure, sustainable, and reliable digital preservation.

Each article is also assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref, providing a permanent and reliable means of citation and retrieval.

This journal is financially supported through institutional support and author fees.
