JABE (Journal of Accounting and Business Education), p-ISSN 2528-7281 and e-ISSN 2528-729X is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published four times yearly (March, June, September, and December). JABE is published by Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Indonesia, and is particularly managed by the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, UM, in collaboration with IAI KAPd Jawa Timur, ALJEBI, and APE-LPTK.

JABE aims to help researchers publish their work for a wider audience and discover new connections. JABE publishes articles derived from philosophical, conceptual, theoretical, critical review, and/or empirical research in the field of accounting and business education.

JABE was previously known as Jurnal Pendidikan Akuntansi (JPA) (2012–2015). The journal has been registered in the CrossRef system with the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) prefix 10.26675 and has been indexed by DOAJ, Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, Sinta 2 (Science and Technology Index), and BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine).

Based on the Decree of the General Director of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Number 0187/E5.3/HM.01.00/2023, JABE was declared an Accredited Scientific Journal with the category "SINTA 2" from Vol. 7 No. 1 (2022) until Vol. 11 No. 2 (2026).
