Abstract

Fire represents a significant threat to urban areas, particularly those situated in the economic center. The data from the Malang City Fire Department indicates that fires are frequently initiated by electrical short circuits and human negligence. The lack of adequate firefighting infrastructure hinders the ability to respond promptly to incidents, necessitating the implementation of fire mitigation strategies. One such strategy is the mapping of fire disaster risk areas. The analytical methods employed in this research include Buffer, Network Analysis, AHP, and Overlay. The primary key identified in the AHP analysis is used to weigh each variable, thereby determining its influence on fires. The analysis results indicate that Malang City is divided into three zones, including a high-risk zone, a medium-risk zone, and a low-risk zone. The high-risk zone is located in Lowokwaru District and Blimbing District, where fire infrastructure is still lacking. Consequently, a mitigation strategy is required in the form of the addition of four posts, each comprising two fleets with a capacity of 4,000 liters and 408 hydrants along the arterial and collector roads of Malang City.
