Abstract

Digital competence is essential for all teachers, including geography teachers. This research aims to analyze the knowledge, utilization, and level of technology adoption of digital learning resources among geography teachers in Sragen and Karanganyar. This study is quantitative research with a survey design. The population of this study consists of all geography teachers in Sragen and Karanganyar, totaling 65 teachers, and this population is used as the sample. The variables used in this research are the level of knowledge, utilisation, and adoption of digital learning resources for teaching GIS material. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires completed by respondents through direct visits to ensure the validity of the responses. Analysis techniques used include t-tests and ANOVA. The results indicate significant differences in knowledge, utilization, and technology adoption scores between geography teachers in Karanganyar and Sragen. Both regions exhibit a similar trend, with high average technology adoption scores but low average utilisation scores. This suggests that geography teachers in Karanganyar and Sragen have high potential for using digital learning resources, but this potential has not been fully optimized for classroom instruction. There is a need for encouragement from the government or the geography teacher community to increase the use of digital learning resources in teaching to make geography lessons more engaging for students. Training on integrating digital learning resources into classroom instruction could help geography teachers utilize these resources more effectively.
