Abstract

Adolescence is the transition from childhood to adulthood. Nutritional status can be affected by nutrient intake. Nutritional problems that are not resolved properly can bring risks to health and can affect the ability to learn Islamic boarding schools in urban and rural areas; there are still many who do not pay attention to the quality of food and food service. This study aims to determine the relationship between food quality and satisfaction level with the nutritional status of students of Islamic boarding school X Serang regency. This study used a cross sectional design. The sample amounted to 197 students selected by simple random sampling technique. Data collection is carried out by two methods, namely direct measurement and interviews. Test statistics using spearman rank. The results of this study showed a relationship between food quality and satisfaction (p = 0.000), and there was no relationship between the level of satisfaction and nutritional status (p = 0.072). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between food quality and satisfaction level and there is no relationship between satisfaction level and nutritional status.
