Jurnal Inovasi dan Teknologi Pembelajaran is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal published by Universitas Negeri Malang in Collaboration with Asosiasi Program Studi Teknologi Pendidikan Indonesia (APS TPI) and Ikatan Profesi Teknologi Pendidikan Indonesia (IPTPI) with MoU. This journal publishes applied research, innovative practices, and theoretical perspectives addressing real-world issues in the entire spectrum of innovative educational technology applications, including the design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation to solve learning problems and knowledge exchange. The journal welcomes a variety of approaches to empirical research (qualitative, quantitative, R&D, and mixed methods), as well as high-quality systematic reviews and meta-analyses. The journal's goal is to serve as a medium for researcher communication as well as a link between researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.
The journal places particular emphasis on research conducted within the Indonesian context, recognizing the nation’s distinctive educational, socio-emotional, and cultural characteristics. The use of an Indonesian title is intended to underscore this regional orientation. Nevertheless, submissions from other geographical contexts are also welcomed, particularly when they offer relevant insights, transferable methodologies, or conceptual contributions that can inform and advance educational and instructional technology practices in Indonesia.
From 2014-2019, this journal is published two issues a year. Starting in 2020, the journal adjusted its publication frequency to three issues per year (March, July, and November). In Issue 2, year 2022, the journal also adopted full English as the required language for all article full texts.
This journal has been indexed in DOAJ and nationally accredited (Rank 3, peringkat 2) as a scientific journal under the decree of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (valid until Vol. 13, No. 3, 2026).
