Abstract
This study examines the representation of Ponorogo culture in teaching modules used in Muhammadiyah schools and its integration with Islamic character education. Using an ethnopedagogical approach and discourse analysis, the research explo res how Ponorogo cultural values are embedded in learning materials and implemented in classroom practices. Findings indicate that local culture is effectively integrated into various arts subjects, enhancing students' cultural appreciation and moral devel opment. However, challenges remain in optimizing cultural content and teacher preparedness. This study contributes to the development of culturally relevant curricula that strengthen both local identity and Islamic character education.
