Abstract

The formation of values as the foundation of behavior requires special attention, because this aspect have big influence on life. The purpose of this study is to determine the formation of student consumption values become environmentally consumption behavior. This research is carried out on students of economics faculty of the State University of Malang, using a qualitative approach of phenomenology. The data are analyzed by using inductive descriptive qualitative. The results found that the values reflected in the two sides, the positive and negative. The Interest in environmentally friendly consumption behavior occurs for reasons of lifestyle, care, budget availability, future sustainability, attention, information, religiosity, rules, health, artistic value, and reciprocity. Internalizing values of students environmentally consumption formed through information media, school, parents or families, campus, community, spiritual organizations, organizations, and seminars or training.
