Abstract
This study aims to describe knowledge management process in SMAN 1 Pulau-Pulau Aru and SMA Yos Sudarso Dobo in Kabupaten Kepulauan Aru. This research uses qualitative research with a multi-case study design. The data are collected by observation, interview and documentation then analyzed with data analysis techniques; individual case and cross-case analysis. The findings of this study describes (1) the teachers have done the knowledge transformation of explicit to tacit in the preparation of learning, tacit to explicit knowledge transformation have not been done well, and the knowledge transformation of tacit to tacit have been done well; (2) socialization have been done, but not maximized; (3) the principal of SMAN 1 Pulau-Pulau Aru is more democratic and princi pal of SMA Yos Sudarso Dobo is more paternalistic; (4) the improvement in the form of efforts to in corporate knowledge from outside the school have been done by both schools; and (5) the process of knowledge capture at both schools has been going well.
