Aims and Scope
Jurnal Pembelajaran Sains (JPSi) (Print ISSN: 2355-7044; Online ISSN: 2527-9157) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that aims to advance research and practice in the field of science education. The journal provides a platform for teachers, academics, lecturers, researchers, and students to disseminate high-quality research findings and engage in academic discussion on science teaching and learning across all levels of education, from primary and secondary education to higher education.
JPSi focuses on the development and improvement of science education, including but not limited to physics education, chemistry education, and biology education. The journal also welcomes interdisciplinary studies that integrate science education with other relevant fields, such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), environmental education, geography education, social education, and arts-based approaches in science learning.
The scope of the journal covers a wide range of topics in science education, including:
- Science teaching and learning strategies, models, and approaches
- Curriculum development and implementation in science education
- Instructional design and innovation in science learning
- Development and evaluation of teaching materials and learning media
- Assessment and evaluation of learning outcomes in science education
- Classroom Action Research (CAR) and lesson study
- Integration of digital technology and e-learning in science education
- Scientific literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Teacher professional development in science education
JPSi publishes original research and review articles. Empirical studies, including experimental research, quasi-experimental research, design-based research, and classroom action research (CAR), are highly encouraged. All submitted manuscripts must demonstrate methodological rigor, ethical research practices, and clear contributions to the advancement of science education.
The journal does not accept manuscripts that focus solely on pure science without educational relevance, or general education studies that are not directly related to science education.
By promoting collaboration between researchers and practitioners, JPSi aims to serve as a bridge between theory and practice, contributing to the continuous improvement of science teaching and learning in diverse educational contexts.
