Jurnal Kajian Bimbingan dan Konseling (Journal of Guidance and Counseling Studies) is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal published by Universitas Negeri Malang in collaboration with the Indonesian Association of Guidance and Counseling. This journal publishes applied research, innovative practices, and theoretical perspectives addressing real-world issues in the field of guidance and counseling across various educational levels and settings. It is committed to advancing professional discourse and evidence-based practices in school counseling, youth development, and educational guidance.
Starting in 2021, the journal adjusted its publication frequency from four issues per year to three issues per year (April, August, and December). In the same year, the journal also adopted full English as the required language for all article full texts. With a streamlined editorial process, the journal provides a first decision around 3 weeks, with average acceptance in 4 to 5 weeks, and publication within 2 to 3 weeks post-acceptance.
This journal has been indexed in DOAJ and nationally accredited (Rank 2, peringkat 2) as a scientific journal under the decree of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (valid until Vol. 9, No. 1, 2029).
