Aims & Scope

Jurnal Kajian Bimbingan dan Konseling (Journal of Guidance and Counseling Studies) provides a platform for applied research, theoretical discussions, and innovative practices that address real-world challenges in guidance and counseling across educational levels and contexts.

The journal is committed to advancing the professional discourse and practical development of guidance and counseling by encouraging contributions that bridge theory and practice, respond to contemporary student needs, and strengthen the role of counselors in educational and youth development settings.

Aligned with the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), the journal promotes research that supports inclusive, equitable, and holistic student development through accessible and effective counseling services.

Areas of particular interest include:

  • Empirical studies on school counseling practices, intervention models, and counselor-student engagement strategies
  • Applied research on socio-emotional learning, academic motivation, mental health literacy, and career guidance in schools
  • Innovative counseling techniques, digital-based interventions, and culturally responsive practices in educational settings
  • Professional development and training approaches for school counselors, including supervision models and reflective practices
  • Evaluative studies on the effectiveness of counseling programs and policies across primary, secondary, and tertiary education
  • Collaborative models involving families, teachers, communities, or NGOs in delivering comprehensive student support services that contribute to well-being and lifelong learning
