Jurnal Kajian Bimbingan dan Konseling (Journal of Guidance and Counseling Studies) publishes applied research, innovative practices, and theoretical perspectives addressing real-world issues in the field of guidance and counseling across various educational levels and settings. Journal History
Jurnal Kajian Bimbingan dan Konseling (Journal of Guidance and Counseling Studies) was first published in 2016 through the platform https://journal2.um.ac.id/index.php/jkbk. In 2017, the journal was successfully indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), enhancing its international visibility. Since March 2017, it has been accredited as a “Rank 2” (Peringkat 2) scientific journal under the Decree of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (Decree No. 34/E/KPT/2018, dated December 10th, 2018).
In 2019, editorial leadership was passed to Prof. Adi Atmoko as Editor-in-Chief, succeeding Prof. IM. Hambali. Starting in 2021, the journal adjusted its publication frequency from four issues per year to three issues per year (April, August, and December), aiming for a more focused and consistent editorial workflow. In the same year, the journal underwent re-accreditation and successfully maintained its “Rank 2” status.
In 2024, the journal transitioned to a new platform and publication system at https://citeus.um.ac.id/jkbk, which now serves as its official and active publication site.
In 2025, the journal completed another round of national re-accreditation and once again retained its status as a “Rank 2” (Peringkat 2) scientific journal under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
