Abstract
This study is intended to teach students who excel in class XI MAN 1 Malang. Achievement is a phenomenon that is not simple. Its presence in a person will not be separated from the process of deep reflection on the various actions to be taken. Methodologically, this study used a qualitative design with phenomenology Alfred Schutz perspective. It is based on that Szhutz is the first character that can connect phenomenology with the social sciences. The results showed that students be affected by the achievement motive causes and motives of interest. The existence of the motive because the student is heavily influenced by the structure of the experience, while the motif of interest dipengaruhin anxiety over the situation worse in the future.
