Abstract
Metacognitive skills to help students become self regulated learner and to understand concept better, but not many empowered learning. Metacognitive skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students expected to be empowered in learning with Reading Concept Map-Reciprocal Teaching (Remap RT). The purpose of this research is to empower metacognitive skills and cognitive learning outcomes by implementing Remap RT. This type of research is a quasy experiments on 60 students in SMAN 2 Batu. Metacognitive skills and cognitive learning outcomes were measured by using essay test and then analysed by metacognitive skills measurement that develop by Corebima (2009). The results showed that Remap RT potentially increases the metacognitive skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students compared to the conventional strategy.
