Abstract
This study describes the creative thinking in RME learning material of algebra. The research was conducted in VIIIH grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Jepara. This study used a qualitative approach and data were analyzed by descriptive-explorative. The result showed that the aspects of students' creative thinking include: fluency, flexibility and novelty in solving problems related to equation linear systems of two variables. Fluency aspect is characterized by the students were able to express ideas and mathematical ideas fluently and correctly in solving problem. Flexibility aspect is characterized by the students are able to use various means and strategies that vary properly in solving problem. Novelty aspect is characterized by the students were able to use a new way, or different from the others in solving problem.
