Abstract
Critical thinking is one of the important thinking skills in the XXI century. TIMSS results showed an average of reasoning ability and application domains are relatively low. One learning model which mandated 2013 curriculum is the implementation of guided inquiry require the participation of learning resources such as interactive multimedia. This study aims to determine the effect of interactive multimedia-assisted guided inquiry towards critical thinking skills. This study is a Quasi Experiment. The study population was all students in SMA Negeri 1 Sumberrejo the school year of 2015/2016 with a sample of students in class XI IPA 1, IPA 2, and IPA 5. The study was conducted in April-May 2016. The instrument in the form of critical thinking skills test. Data were analyzed with covariance (Anacova). The results showed that the interactive multimedia-assisted guided inquiry affect the students' critical thinking skills. LSD test results show the critical thinking skills of students increased by 400,2% in the class of gieded inquiry and 416.8% in class multimedia-assisted guided inquiry.
