Abstract
This research investigated the perspectives of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students on their experiences with group work (GW) in both online and offline environments. The results indicated that most students who participated in GW in both settings held a positive perception. Implementing a Collaborative Learning (CL) approach can enhance students’ self-confidence, motivation, engagement in a studentcentered environment, and sense of responsibility. However, some students reported negative experiences with online GW due to issues such as unstable internet connections, limited prior experience with GW, and unfamiliarity with relevant applications and software. Consequently, the findings of this study offer valuable insights for students, educators, and policymakers
