Abstract
Critical thinking skills needed for students to accomplish the tasks of lecturing and writing scientific papers. This study aims to determine the effect of the learning model of Discovery Learning on students' critical thinking skills. This study uses a quasi-experiment conducted in the Department of Geography Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Malang. Subjects who used that force students geography 2016/2017 were 72 students in two classes that are homogeneous. The data collection technique using essay test questions critical thinking skills. Analysis of data using the t test. Results of data analysis obtained that the Sig. (2-tailed) was 0.000 <0.05 so that there is significant influence learning model Discovery Learning on students' critical thinking skills.
