Abstract

This study is aimed to investigate students’ difficulties in learning wave based on research literatures. They consist of eleven international and two national research articles. The study has identified students’ difficulties in understanding mechanical wave, such as wave propagation, superposition, wave characteristic, refraction, and sound. Regarding the difficulties revealed in the literature study, it is suggested to employ alternative ways of teaching by modelling.
