Abstract
This research aims at developing economic literacy learning materials. This development research employed Design Based Research (DBR) which have particular characteristics. It aims at developing product based on the necessity and collaborateing with development result user (practitioners). Descriptive quantitative analysis was used to analyze the data regarding material validation score. The analysis was conducted to determine whether the learning material developed fulfills the criteria of validity. The validity was obtained from expertise validator. Validity data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative. The result of trials analysis obtained 80.25%. It indicates that picture based learning materias developed is appropariate. In addition, the learning material could improve the learning motivation of the students. It was showed by the result students’ response which obtained 78.91% (categorized as good). Supplementary, picture story based learning materials could improve students understanding on economic literacy. It indicated by the result of students’ response which obtained 75.35% and categorized as good.
