Abstract

This study was aimed to develop Sumbawanese poetry module and test the effectiveness by using experimental one-goup pretest-posttest design. The developing model used in this study 4-D design by Thiangarajan, Dorothy and Melvyn. The product was validated by experts; experts of poetry learning, module design, and culture. The development of the module consisted of practitioners test, the effectiveness test and distribution of module. Based on the validation, it showed that the module was accepted well by the students. It can be seen from the mean of the posttest, 71,90. So it can be concluded that the module was effective and can be applied in the teaching learning activity.
