Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the significance of biogas for rural people in Pandesari Pujon as a source of cost-effective, safe to use, and easy to use household energy, as well as eco-friendly biogas. The analysis of the data in this study applied a qualitative research approach. This type of research used phenomenology research. The instruments of data collection employed observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the research of rural people in Pandesari Pujon showed that the meaning of biogas met their daily needs such as for cooking and lighting. Besides the use of biogas for saving, it also could minimize the household expenses. Furthermore, it could also support the production of agricultural tools which could increase the people’s household finances. In addition, the use of biogas was highly eco-friendly and save for daily use. Moreover, the biogas waste itself (Slury) could be utilized for agricultural fertilizer.
