Abstract

This study examines the morphology and the medicinal potential of the Ficus plants in the Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park. The study was conducted in April—November 2016. The plant exploration was conducted with cruise method. The research procedure consists of sampling, morphological characterization, species identification, and medicinal potential review. The morphological characterization is used for identification purposes. Identification shows that there are several Ficus plants, those are Ficus botryocarpa Miq., Ficus exasperata Vahl, Ficus microcarpa Lf, Ficus racemosa L., and, Ficus variegate Blume which has potential as anti-cancer, anti-microbial, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrhea, and antioxidants.
