Abstract

Instructional materials used in the learning activities are textbooks. Textbooks used in thematic learning covers teacher and student books. The teachers and students book should contain materials which is associated with something real and often viewed by students in the neighborhood. The purpose of this research is to develop instructional thematic materials such as teachers' books and students' books valid local culture-based, effective, and practical with Proud as an Indonesian nation. Collecting research data through questionnaires, observation sheets, and test. Based on data analysis concluded that the book was developed valid, effective, and practical use in learning.
