Abstract
A quasi experimental study has been conducted at SMK-SPP Negeri Samarinda. The purpose of this study are knowing the influence of Discovery Learning model on the effectiveness and learning outcomes of students of Class XI SMK-SPP Negeri Samarinda and the response of students to the learning process using the discovery learning model. The method used in this study is an experiment with reference to posttest-only control design. The results shows that there is an influence in effectiveness of learning. In the experiment group is higher than the control class. The student learning result is 93,33% in experiment class while control group is 60%, so it shows that learning using discovery learning model can improve learning outcomes. Students response to learning model of discovery learning is positive, with the result 52,22% very good, 41,11% good and 6,67% not good.
