Abstract

Meaningfulness learning can be achieved by increasing the activity of students. The results of preliminary observation indicate the participation of students less visible on the learning process that impact on the low activity and student learning outcomes. This study aimed to describe the learning through the model-based mind mapping SAVI approach to enhance the activity and student learning outcomes. This research uses qualitative descriptive approach with class action research type through stages planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were grade IV students 8 male students and 12 female students. The results showed that the application of the model-based approach SAVI Mind Mapping can increase the activity and results of social studies class IV SDN Karangsono.
