Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect students’ mastery of science concepts that learned using guided inquiry learning aided with learning journal. This is a quasi-experimental research using the pretest-posttest control group design. The students’ mastery of science concept is increased of from the pretest to the posttest. ANCOVA test results p-value = 0.261 is greater than α = 0.05. it can be concluded that there is not difference on mastery of science concepts between students the who are taught using guided inquiry learning aided with learning journals and the students who are taught only using guided inquiry learning.
