Abstract

This research the aim of this research is to improve student’s social studies learning outcomes through implementation Teams Games Tournament (TGT) using guessing picture media for fifth A graders Galangan Kapal II Makasar elementary school. The researcher consisted of four stages like planning, action, observation and reflection. The research instrument was observation sheets, interview, test results of study, and field notes. The two cycle’s research result that the implementation of social studies learning through Teams Games Tournament (TGT) using guessing picture can improve student’s social studies learning outcomes. At the pre action, only 17 of 30 students or 56,7% are reach mastery learning, at the first cycle mastery learning reach 21 students or 70%. Then increase at the second cycle, 26 students or 86,7% are reach mastery learning. The learning outcome improvement between the first and second cycle is 16,6% with the mastery learning reach 86,6.
