Abstract
The purpose of research is to know the effect of learning model problem based learning to students' geography thinking skill. The research method used is quasi experiment design with the form of none quivalent control groups design. Subjects in this study were students of class X IPS SMA Negeri 1 Batu. Data collection techniques use geographic thinking skills tests on basic mapping knowledge materials. The analysis technique used is Independent Samples t-Test with the help of SPSS 16.0 for Windows program. The results showed that there is a significant effect of learning problem based learning model on geography thinking skill with sig (2-tailed) 0.000 <0,05 value.
