Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the needs of module based Biotechnology with Problem Based Learning for students majoring in Biology Universitas Negeri Malang. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire aimed at 60 students of Biology Department FMIPA UM who have taken the course of Biotechnology with cluster sampling design. Questionnaires are used to evaluate the curriculum, learning process, teaching materials, bioinformatics knowledge, and the need for PBL-based teaching materials. The questionnaire results show that the development of PBL-based biotechnology modules for students in biotechnology courses is essential.
