Abstract
This research was aimed to know whether there is a difference in science process skill and concept comprehension on optical materials of students who learn with guided inquiry learning with discovery learning. The research design used was quasi-experimental type pretest-posttest control group design. Hypothesis test in research using Anacova (Analysis of Covariance). The results showed that (1) there is a difference in science process skill of experimental class and control class where the science process skill of experiment class student is higher than control class student; (2) there is a difference of understanding of optical material concept of experimental class and control class where the students' understanding of optical concept of experimental class is higher than control class students.
