Abstract
A development research has been done that resulted in learning tools for the organism interaction with guided inquiry based environments with learning resources of Baning Forest to improve the critical thinking skills of SMP Negeri 2 Sintang students. Learning tools developed include syllabus, RPP, handouts, LKS and assessment instruments. Development of learning tools using 4D research and development model includes define, design, develop, disseminate. The resulting learning tools were validated by the material experts, designers of learning and teachers, then conducted individual tests and small-scale trials. From research resulted by learning device with high validation value (mean ≥ 90), thus learning device developed very feasible use in learning. At the time of trial the learning device achieved the level of implementation 91.25% and the value of critical thinking skills of students in good category. Thus, learning tools developed can improve the critical thinking skills of students of SMP Negeri 2 Sintang material interaction of living things with the environment and worth to use.
