Abstract
The research aims to know the effect of problem based learning on students’ skill in solving torque problems. The research method is Mixed Method with embedded experimental design model. Research subjects consist of 32 students of SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. Data were collected through pretest and posttest using test, questionnaire, and interview. The result of N-Gain score shows that the improvement of students’ skill in solving torque problems is in high category and the result of d-cohen effect size is in strong category. This result shows that problem-based learning can improve students' skill in solving torque problems.
