Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out (1) extracurricular activities, (2) participation of school committees based on the role of school committees which include: (a) advisory agency, (b) supporting agency, (c) controlling agency, and (d) mediator agency. The research method used in this research is qualitative research method research type studi kasus. This research was conducted at SDN Kauman I and SDN Rampal Celaket II Malang. Research subjects in this study are principals, school committee leaders, school committee members, extracurricular coordinators and extracurricular coaches. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and document studies. The results showed that school committee participation based on the role of school committee can be categorized well, seen from school committee involvement in extracurricular activity planning, school committee support on infrastructure and services at extracurricular activities, school committee participation on the implementation of extracurricular activities both race, stage art as well as outdoor activities such as camping persami.
