Abstract

This research aims to explore the use of thinking maps on students' critical thinking skill in static fluid materials. The type of this research is qualitative research using case study approach conducted on 5 students of class XI MIA 5 SMA Negeri 3 Kediri. The instrument used in the critical thinking skills test use five essay point test with reliability of 0.7 and thinking maps worksheet. Data analysis used in thinking maps that made by students based to MAPPER rubric assessment to be used as a reference to posttest score of students' critical thinking ability. The results of the analysis show that the use of thinking maps helps students to improve students' critical thinking skills in understanding the concept of static fluid.
