Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe students writing mathematical communication of high-ability (ST), medium (SS), low (SR) in solving problem. The research data was obtained by analyzing the answer sheets of three subjects based on writing mathematical communication indicators. The result of this research are, (1) ST can write what is known and asked, construct Venn diagram and do the calculation correctly, (2) SS can write what is known and asked, construct Venn diagram and do the calculation of problem 2 correctly, but on problem 3 SS still make any mistake on constructing Venn diagram and doing the calculation, (3) SR can write what is known and asked, but SR has not made Venn diagram and done the calculation appropriately.
