Abstract

Communication is one of the skills that important to the 21st century generation. Mathematical communication skill is one of the skills that must be mastered by students after learning mathematics. This skill can be observed directly through discussion or indirectly through writing. Peer discussion is the most appropriate learning activity to improve students' communication skills. The purpose of this research is to analyze the written mathematical communication skill of fourth graders of SD through students' learning achievement of two-dimensional figure. The type of research used is quantitative research. The results showed that there are significant differences in mathematical communication of students conducted peer discussion activities.
