Abstract
The purpose of this research is to improve thematic learning outcomes through the implementation of literacy-based project based learning. The research was conducted trough classroom action research consisting of two cycles in fifth grade students of Salatiga 05 Elementary School. The result showed an increase in student activity from 78,13% to 84,38%. The increase in student activity has an impact on the completeness of the thematic learning outcomes shown in the first cycle of 70,6% and increased to 82,35% in the second cycle. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the application of literacy-based project based learning can increase the activities and thematic learning outcomes.
