Abstract
This study aimed to improve students' speaking ability and self-confidence by implementing the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings. Participants in this study were students of class X.TP 1 at SMK Negeri 4 Pati in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year. In this study, there was an increase in the average score of students' speaking ability from 80.15, in the first cycle to 82.59 in the second cycle, accompanied by a boost in self-confidence.
