Abstract
The effectiveness of administering vocational education and training programs depends on the cooperation with DU / DI. The cooperative relationship between schools and industry is generally held to support the process of forming the learners’ competencies to produce the quality of graduates that are in accordance with industry needs. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of industrial work practices through the collaboration between schools and industry in achieving the goals of vocational education. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of multi-case research which took the research sample of two vocational schools in Jember Regency, Ambulu District, which had different backgrounds. The results of the study explained that the implementation of internships through collaboration between schools and industry consisted: (1) internship planning; (2) Guidance of apprenticeship; and (3) apprenticeship assessment.
