Abstract

This research aims to produce reading materials for BIPA students at novice high level. This research method using 4D model by Thiagarajan (1974). This reading material has three characteristics. First, reading topics that are familiar to BIPA students. Second, the difficulty level of the texts is adjusted to the level of proficiency of BIPA students at novice high level. Third, texts are explored as a medium for learning grammar. Based on the validation test of BIPA learning experts practitioners, this reading material is suitable for BIPA students at novice high level because it’s in accordance with the characteristics of BIPA students at novice high level.
