Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical reasoning process of students with high emotional intelligence. This research is a qualitative case study. The subject of this study was one student with high emotional intelligence. The instruments of this study are: emotional intelligence test, mathematical reasoning test, and interview guidelines. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that students who have high emotional intelligence do mathematical reasoning by submitting guesses, drawing conclusions from a statement, doing mathematical manipulation, and being able to check validity of an argument.
