Abstract

This research aims to study the needs of teaching material in Ethnobotany for students of biology department S1 UIN Maliki Malang. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques used is by distributing questionnaires. The results, 79% of students know about the concept of ethnobotany and no student knows about Talang Mamak. 59% of students stated in the learning process dominated by using PowerPoint compared with other teaching materials and 100% of students agreed if the supplement book is developed. Therefore, it was concluded that necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of supplement books for Ethnobotanical courses.
