Abstract
Vocational High School is an educational institution that plays an important role in forming and producing reliable and skilled human resources who are ready to work. The existence of SMK must be relevant to the potential of the region as a support in improving the regional economy and utilizing the potential of the region. The purpose of this study was to find out the relevance of Vocational High Schools with regional potential and with the needs of the community and local industry in Paser Regency. This study used a qualitative approach, using interviews, documentation, and observation methods. The results obtained are that the public's interest in SMK is very high and some majors are still not relevant to the needs of the community and regional potential and the mining and plantation sectors still dominate income in Paser Regency.
