Abstract
The Student Competency Competition is an annual agenda of DITPSMK which aims to get the best students from each region to be competed at the national level and represent Indonesia at the world level. Becoming an LKS champion is not something that is easy, many factors determine the success of students in winning LKS competitions. This research focuses on finding and presenting data on the factors that determine student success in winning LKS. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research types and research informants are successful students and mentors who champion and the collection of research data using interviews, observations, and documentation is expected to answer the focus of the research. The results of this study found that there are 21 internal factors and 6 external factors that determine the success of students in winning the student competency competition.
