Abstract

Mastery of social skills is a demand for each individual in adapting to their environment. No exception for elementary school students who are always expected to carry out continuity and change in the development of social skills from the learning received. The purpose of this study was to determine the continuity and change in social skills in elementary school social studies online learning. The research method used is a qualitative case study method. Sources of research data obtained from four elementary school class teachers using purposive techniques. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with all informants. Data analysis used interactive analysis, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that online social studies learning in developing students' social skills was still low. This is evidenced by the decline in the development of students' social skills to live and work together, skills to control themselves and others, and skills to exchange ideas and experiences. Continuity and change of students' social skills in online social studies learning can be done through the coordination of teachers and parents.
