Abstract

Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk is Ahmad Tohari's novel which describes the life of ronggeng dancers and their socio-cultural environment in a village in Banyumas, Central Java. This novel is widely used as a medium for learning literature in schools because it is rich in depictions of local culture. This makes the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk considered necessary to explore its educational tourism potential. This article aims to explore the potential for educational tourism of Ronggeng dance and wayang kulit in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk. The educational potential that is explored is divided into performance tourism objects, heritage attractions, and activity attractions. Using a mimetic approach and tourism literature, this research is qualitative research.
