Abstract

This research explores the relationship between ecology and the philosophy of science in Islamic education, highlighting how ecological values can be integrated into the educational system to foster environmental awareness in line with Islamic principles. Islamic education teaches humanity's responsibility as khalifah (steward) on Earth, which includes caring for nature and using knowledge wisely. This study examines recent literature to understand how ecological concepts and the philosophy of science can be applied in the curriculum, encouraging students to actively participate in environmental conservation. The findings show that the integration of ecology and the philosophy of science in Islamic education is not only relevant to the global need for sustainability but also enriches the spiritual objectives of Islamic education itself. By adopting a holistic approach, the younger generation can be shaped into individuals who are ecologically, morally, and spiritually responsible.
