Abstract

This study analyzes the arrangement structure, percussion rhythmic patterns, interlocking technique, and vocal harmony of Amdahil Mukammal as performed by the Bismilhub Hadrah Al-Banjari group in Junrejo, Batu, Indonesia. A descriptive qualitative method with a musicological approach was employed. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation from February to May 2026. The informants included the group leader, trainer, lead vocalist, and terbang player. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data credibility was examined through methodological and source triangulation. The findings show that the arrangement of Amdahil Mukammal consists of four sections: intro, chorus, verse, and ending. Its characteristics include the interlocking rhythmic patterns of the lanangan and wadon terbang, rhythmic variations in particular sections, and vocal harmony, especially in the chorus. The interlocking technique creates complementary rhythmic patterns, while the division between the main melody and supporting voices produces a fuller vocal texture. These findings demonstrate that the interaction of rhythmic and vocal elements shapes the arrangement of Amdahil Mukammal in Bismilhub’s performance while maintaining the fundamental characteristics of Hadrah Al-Banjari.
